SDCC 2012 – Nerd HQ: Joss Whedon and Nathan Fillion

I’ve just watched the Nerd HQ “Talk with Joss Whedon” and although I’m still out on the fan-thing (seriously, it is possible!), I can safely say that I have just fallen in love with the human being.  This is a great talk – thoroughly enjoyable:

Also on Sunday morning, Nathan Fillion did a second talk at Nerd HQ which is great fun, but the vid stops at 40 minutes and at the moment, I don’t know if Break.com/Nerd HQ will be posting the remainder.  This second talk is great fun:

I think the whole fan community needs to give Zachary Levi a huge round of applause for creating Nerd HQ – it is becoming such a wonderful feature of the SDCC weekend and a fabulous way to support a charity.  For those of us unable to physically be part of San Diego Comic Con, we certainly appreciate the live streaming and online viewing of these talks.

SDCC 2012: more “Firefly” interviews

Our BDHs have been busy yesterday.

Following the panel and the press conference, they stopped by the SDCC Entertainment Weekly booth for another interview.  Unfortunately, I’m not computer literate enough to figure out how the video can be extracted (sorry), so you’ll just have to go to the website (here) and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Last year, I looked at Zach Levi’s Nerd HQ events during San Diego Comic Con and sighed,  I listened to friends who attended and ground my teeth shrugging off my misplaced jealousy, but this year, I would love to see this!

Nerd-extraordiare, Chris Hardwick (@nerdist) founder of the wonderful Nerdist Podcast (along with his more than able partners-in-crime, Matt Mira and Jonah Ray) are partnering with LucasFilm, Machinima and Octa8on in creating “Course of the Force” which is an Olympic flame-style run from Santa Monica ending in San Diego over the course of five days leading to the start of the San Diego Comic Con 2012.

Mr Hardwick (and I haven’t forgotten how you were within feet of my office during your trip to London last November!) recently appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show to announce this event:

Meanwhile, Zachary Levi is looking out from the roof of Nerd HQ with a contented grin on his face as he has joined Nathan Fillion and Kaley Cuoco in the latest Nerd Machine Public Service Announcement.
